The Department of Haematology and Transplantation at the German Medical Institute, in close collaboration with our other specialised departments, offers the most modern and comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and treatment of haematological diseases.


Our team of highly specialised professionals delivers individualised care, tailoring each treatment plan to the specific needs, medical condition, and preferences of the patient. Our Services


We integrate the latest advancements in molecular medicine into every treatment plan for patients with haematological conditions. This approach ensures precision, effectiveness, and innovation in care. Our expertise covers a wide range of conditions, including:


Benign haematological diseases, such as:

Anaemia

Thrombocytopenia

Neutropenia

Coagulation disorders

Aplastic Anaemia

Immune disorders

Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH)


Haematological malignancies, including:

Leukaemia

Lymphoma

Multiple myeloma, plasma cell dyscrasia

Myelodysplastic syndromes

Myeloproliferative neoplasms


Our Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapies Unit is programmed to be the first of its kind in Cyprus, offering advanced treatment options for both haematological and non-haematological diseases, including:

Autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplants for malignant haematological diseases

Autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplants for non-haematological diseases, i.e. autoimmune diseases (multiple sclerosis, systemic sclerosis) and specific solid tumours.


It has the appropriate facilities, specialized personnel, and the necessary equipment, and is currently awaiting final licensing approval from the Ministry of Health for the initiation of:

  1. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantations for the treatment of malignant and non-malignant hematological diseases.

  2. Cellular therapies, such as CAR-T cell therapies, for the treatment of hematological malignancies.

  3. Approved gene therapies, including therapies for β-thalassemia and other inherited hematological disorders.
