About

The Department of Neurosurgery at the German Medical Institute (GMI) commenced operations in 2023 and has been steadily expanding with the mission of providing comprehensive care for both cranial and spinal disorders. The department is staffed by a team of highly skilled neurosurgeons, all of whom have undergone extensive training in internationally recognised Centers of Excellence in Germany and the United States.

A primary focus of our department is Neurosurgical Oncology, encompassing the treatment of tumours affecting the brain and spine. These complex cases are managed through close collaboration with the Departments of Medical and Radiation Oncology as well as Neurology, ensuring a multidisciplinary and patient-centred approach.

In addition to oncological care, our team treats a wide range of benign and degenerative neurosurgical conditions, including:

• Cervical myelopathy

• Disc herniation

• Hydrocephalus

• Trigeminal neuralgia

• Pituitary adenomas

• Meningiomas
