Dr. Alexandra Papoudou-Bai is currently working as a pathologist in the Department of Pathology at the German Medical Institute (GMI), where she has been employed since September 2024. She has over ten years’ diagnostic experience, constant research activity and special interest in Haematopathology. 

Hematopathology is the practice of pathology concerned with the study and diagnosis of human diseases and neoplasms of Lymphoid and Haematopoietic System (e.g. Lymphomas and Leukemias). Her Ph.D. was awarded a scholarship from Empirikion Institute, Athens, Greece. She has been retrained in Haematopathology and modern diagnostic techniques in the Department of Pathology of the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden, as well as in the Haematopathology Department of Evaggelismos Hospital in Athens. She has been teaching for more than ten years pregraduate and postgraduate students and served as elected permanent Assistant Professor of Pathology Department, Faculty of Medicine, School of Health Science, University of Ioannina, Greece.
