Andreas Filis
Neurosurgeon
Andreas Filis was born and raised in Athens. After graduated from the medical school in Athens in 2004, he pursued neurosurgical training in the university hospital of Goettingen in Germany under Prof M. Buchfelder.
In 2005 he continued his training in the university hospital of Erlangen where he also became board certified for neurosurgery and completed there his doctoral thesis (Dr.med) in trigeminocardiac reflex in transsphenoidal surgery. Andreas has been research fellow in the minimally invasive wet lab in Case Western University in USA und Prof Alan Cohen. He has also completed 3 clinical fellowships in the USA subspecializing in neurosurgical oncology, spine surgery and skull base surgery. Andreas has worked 2,5 years as attending neurosurgeon in the imland Klinik in Rendsburg in Germany. Since 2019 he offers state of the art neurosurgical care for his patients in Cyprus. He is also associate with the neurosurgical department in the university hospital of Dresden where he carries out academic work.
