Andreas Photiades
Pulmonologist
Dr. Andreas Photiades was born and raised in Larnaca. He graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2015 and served as a rural doctor at Tinos Island Health Centre. He completed his residency in Respiratory and Pulmonary Medicine at the 7th Respiratory Dpt. and Asthma Centre, “Sotiria” Athens Chest Hospital, where he specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of numerous diseases of the respiratory system. He had always a special interest in Interventional Pulmonology successfully completing the European Respiratory Society Endobronchial ultrasound training programme. During the Covid pandemic, he attended to numerous cases of patients with SARS-CoV2 virus, including both hospitalized and POST-Covid patients.
After completing his residency in Respiratory and Pulmonary Medicine, he continued working as a Consultant at the 7th Respiratory Dpt. and Asthma Centre, “Sotiria” Athens Chest Hospital, up until April 2022, when he began working as a Consultant in Respiratory and Pulmonary Medicine – Head of the Interventional Pulmonology Unit at Respiratory Dpt. Limassol General Hospital. Since March 2023, Dr. Photiades is serving as a Consultant in Respiratory and Pulmonary Medicine at German Medical Institute – German Oncology Center.
Dr. Photiades has several publications in international scientific journals and participated as a Study Coordinator and Sub-Investigator in various scientific projects and RCTs. He was invited as a speaker and commentator in various national and international conferences.
