Efstathios Papatsoutsos
Otorhinolaryngologist
Dr. Efstathios Papatsoutsos is a Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist/Head and Neck Surgeon. He specialises in otology/otologic surgery, endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery and salivary gland diseases.
Dr. Efstathios Papatsoutsos studied medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens where he graduated in the year 2010 with the grade Very Good (Λίαν καλώς).
After the completion of his studies Dr. Papatsoutsos moved to Germany where he started his postgraduate training first in General and Surgery for two years (Common Trunk Training) and later in Otorhinolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery in the Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg. After successfully passing the German Otorhinolaryngology Board Exams, he continued his training as a Otology/Neurotology/Otologic Surgery Fellow in the Otorhinolaryngology Department of the University Hospital of Magdeburg. He became a leading member of the Cochlear-Implant team and was responsible for the cochlear implant program.
Dr. Papatsoutsos completed his doctoral thesis with Honours (magna cum laude) at the Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg in 2021.
In 2022 he was appointed as a Consultant in Otorhinolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery department of the University hospital of Magdeburg and a year later joined the Otorhinolaryngology/Head and Surgery team of the largest hospital of the city of Dortmund (Klinikum Dortmund) as a Consultant.
After 14 consecutive years in Germany, Dr. Papatsoutsos is now offering his medical services as an ENT-expert in the German Medical Institute in Limassol, Cyprus with special interest in otology/otologic surgery, endoscopic surgery of the paranasal sinuses as well as skull base surgery (with neurosurgical co-operation).
