Georgios Toulkerides
Director of Nephrology
The complexity of physiology and the multitude of vital functions they perform, make the kidneys the most important regulators of our health. The treatment of their pathology is critical for the survival and quality of life of people. Therapeutically, a holistic approach to patients is always needed. These were the reasons I loved and followed the specialty of nephrology.
Dr. George Toulkeridis was born in 1978 in Thessaloniki. He graduated from the 2nd General Lyceum of Sykes and initially studied for 1 year at the Department of Biology of the University of Crete. He continued as a resident in nephrology at the General Hospital of Komotini “Sismanoglio” and completed his nephrology specialty at the University Nephrology Clinic of the Hippocratic General Hospital of Thessaloniki. In December 2014 he moved permanently to Cyprus and worked as a nephrology specialist at the General Hospitals of Larnaca, Famagusta and Paphos.
