Giannis Thrasyvoulou

Otorhinolaryngologist

Dr Giannis Thrasyvoulou is Ear Nose Throat Head & Neck Thyroid Surgeon. 

He graduated from University of Athens Medical School where he studied with full state scholarship. He has worked at 1st Athens University Department (Hippokration Hospital) and after finishing his residency he subspecialized in complex head & neck and thyroid procedures at major UK teaching University Hospitals (Addenbrookes-Cambridge and St George’s-London). 


Upon his return to Cyprus he worked for 7 years at Nicosia General Hospital where he initiated the head & neck surgery program especially for laryngeal cancer (laser surgery / laryngectomy). 

He has extensive surgical experience in the field of head & neck surgery, thyroid, nasal/sinus and paediatric ent surgery.


He is fellow of the International Federation of Head & Neck surgery and member of the European Rhinology Society and European Academy of Neurotology. He is member of the examining board of the European exams for Otolaryngology since 2020. He publishes regularly in international journals and serves as a reviewer for a number of them.

Numerous otolaryngology conferences every year both as attendee but also as a presenter and chair at the major CEORL conferences. Organizing the scientific program for the yearly otolaryngology congress in Cyprus as president of the Cyprus ENT Society.
