Iliana Tziamali

Anesthesiologist

Born and raised in Greece, in Trikala, Thessaly, leaving to study Medicine at the Democritus University of Thrace in Alexandroupolis. At the University I entered after a Panhellenic examination. After completing my studies, I returned to my hometown in order to start my residency. During my career as a resident and as a specialist anaesthesiologist I served in all hospitals of Thessaly as well as in hospitals of Athens and Thessaloniki. I have been extensively trained in the preanaesthetic assesment of patients, in the administration of general and regional anesthesia to a wide range of surgical and non-surgical patients, in the performance of peripheral nerve blocks as well as in the management and transport of critically ill patients inside and outside the hospital, as well as in the ICU environment. I have also specialised in the treatment of acute and chronic pain using neural therapy and acupuncture. During my career I have participated in numerous scientific activities both as a trainee and as a speaker. My goal is to provide high quality anaesthesia and analgesia services based on the needs of each patient, as well as the careful management of scheduled and emergency cases  in which the presence of an anesthesiologist is deemed necessary.
