Dr. Iosif Strouthos was born and raised in Larnaca, Cyprus. He graduated from the American Academy Larnaca in 2003 and upon completion of his military service; he went off to study medicine in Prague, Czech Republic. After obtaining his medical degree, he temporarily returned to work in Famagusta General Hospital, where he mostly practiced in the surgical field. Following this spell, he moved to Germany for his medical specialization. He managed to become board certified radiation oncologist, while at the same time he completed his doctorate in the University of Frankfurt. During this time, he had the opportunity to work in renowned hospitals and learn from leading scientists in the field, including Professor Nikolaos Zamboglou and Professor Anca-Ligia Grosu, whilst in parallel he achieved significant academic work. Despite that, the immense need to offer back to his homeland and his desire to return to Cyprus made him join the Medical Team at the German Oncology Center. He currently lives in his hometown with his family.
